Digital Bridgend Seminar: The Porthcawl Digital Tourism Jam 17th July 2014

The Digital Tourism Jam‘As smart as their smartphones?’
A free digital tourism seminar for the tourism industry @Trecco Bay, Porthcawl

Thursday 17th July 2014
10.00am-4.00pm

Visitors are today getting smarter. There has been an unprecedented growth in the use of smartphones and increasingly people are using their devices for interpretation and information provision during their holidays. This event is aimed at anyone who’s interested in learning more about digital technologies and how we can use it effectively to educate, inform and entertain people enjoying a day out in our area.

The FREE event will showcase some great examples of digital applications that we can use, fuel debate and discuss how we in Bridgend can capitalize on the huge growth in smartphone and tablet usage amongst our local residents and visitors.

It’s a little bit different to your standard conference, as it involves a number of expert speakers getting together, presenting a project that they’ve been involved with and then sharing an idea that we in Bridgend could implement free of charge. Their brief is simple, it’s to inspire, to inform and to benefit tourism in Bridgend.
The event will commence at 10.30am and will take place at Trecco Bay in Porthcawl and a free lunch will be provided. If you wish to register for this FREE event, places are limited and in demand so please register by emailing andrew@trutourism.com , by text 07747866052 or alternatively, quickly comlete the form below:
