You can create a 360° panoramic image, called a photo sphere, from your Android or iOS device very easily using the Photo Sphere app. Photo spheres welcome others to freely look up, down, and all around to explore the entire scene rather than just a standard photograph. For the best results, invest in a cheap tripod and a mount for your smartphone (total cost around £30), turn on the app, and move the phone around as instructed, capturing the imagery as the camera rotates. It can be done in minutes and the results are of an excellent quality and are very impressive when viewed from the smartphone. Furthermore, the image you create can also be published for all to see on google maps. This is a straight forward application to use and very useful for visitors to the destination of course.
